Alfasud Sprint 1.5 Veloce trofeo
The Alfasud Sprint 1.5 Veloce trofeo was a special edition launched
in 1982. It was called trofeo in order to show the close relation between
a serial Alfasud Sprint and the trophy race cars used in the Trofeo Sprint.
In
Germany, Alfa Romeo advertised the trofeo with the following words "Wer
den fahren will, muß schnell schalten: ALFA ROMEO Sprint ,trofeo'
", meaning :"The one who wants to drive it has to be quick...". A right,
were there only 200 cars reserved for German buyers.
The most important
optical difference between the trofeo and its usual brothers was the silvergrey metallic
body-paint with a darkblue-grey stripe along the
waist line. At the rear of the car, this stripe bared the word "trofeo"
in it. In addition to the special colour the trofeo also offered bi-colour
alloy wheels (with a dark grey centre and a silver ring arround it) - just
as the ones of the <<Plus>>
special edition. The B-pillar was also painted in grey.
The interior was
equipped with special grey Tweed uppolstery which should distinguish it
from the usual Sprints. On the glove compartment lid, there was a trofeo-badge.
The only engine available was the 1.5 litre 95 bhp version which made the
Sprint run over 175 kph. 19.290 DM had
to be paid for an Alfasud Sprint 1.5 Veloce trofeo.
